BIOS Hilfe - Fragen und Antworten

Hi,

ich habe folgendes Problem:
Ich habe Windows XP neu auf meinem Rechner Installiert, alle Treiber und Windows selbst geupdated und nun kann ich nicht mehr von den beiden eingebauten DVD Laufwerken booten (Weder Linux DVDs noch Windows). Unter Windows kann ich (meistens) auch auf die Laufwerke nicht mehr zugreifen, obwohl sie vom Gerätemanager richtig erkannt werden.

Ich habe schon alles mögliche probiert:
Nur ein Laufwerk als Master am IDE Bus
Beide Laufwerke (in beiden Kombinationen als Master und Slave)
Ein anderes Laufwerk alleine als Master.
Nichts hilfts.

bootet der PC vom DVD-Lfw, wenn du die XP-HDD abklemmst?
Wenn ja, dann könnte es evtl. an einem fehlerhaften Masterbootrecord (MBR) oder Partitionseintrag der HDD liegen.

Schon mal im BIOS-Setup die Default-Settings geladen? Vllt. ist dort was durcheinander geraten?

1. nur weil die Laufwerke auf und zu gehen, heisst es noch lange nicht, dass auch der richtige Strom (5V und 12V) fliesst. Könnte ja auch ein Kabelbruch/Wackelkontakt o.ä. sein - man weiss ja nie...
2. Leider gar nicht.

Was ist, wenn du wirklich alles unnötige (Schnittstellenkarten, 2. RAM-Riegel, etc.) ausbaust und nur ein CD-Lfw dran lässt? Also alles raus, bis auf 1X RAM, CPU und Graka. Und wenn du schon dabei bist, dann prüfe wenn du mehrere RAM-Riegel hast, jeden einzelnen mal.
